A benefit, formerly called disability retirement (aposentadoria por invalidez), paid to an insured person who is found permanently unable to perform any work that would support them. It depends on a finding by a medical examination and on the impossibility of rehabilitation. It may be reviewed periodically and may be increased when the insured person needs permanent assistance from another person.
