Brazil’s INSS Benefits Above the Minimum Wage Rise 4.77%, and the Cap Reaches R$ 8.157,41 in 2025
In January 2025, the National Social Security Institute (INSS) applied a 4.77% increase to benefits paid above the minimum wage, matching the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) accumulated in 2024. With the adjustment, the cap on Social Security benefits rose from the previous year’s level, while the floor followed the national minimum wage in effect at the time. Both took effect on the first day of that year.
