The 25% increase is an additional amount added to a permanent disability retirement benefit (aposentadoria por incapacidade permanente) when the insured person needs constant help from another person with daily activities, such as eating or getting around. This supplement is calculated on top of the retirement benefit amount and can raise the monthly income even above the benefit cap, because its purpose is to cover the cost of dependence on another person’s care.
