A consumer is any person, individual or legal entity, who buys or uses a product or service as the final recipient, without passing it along the commercial chain. The law may also treat as consumers the victims of an accident caused by a defective product and any group of people exposed to abusive practices. This status is what entitles you to the special protection provided by Brazil’s consumer protection law.
