Emancipation of a Minor
Emancipation of a minor is the legal mechanism that allows a person under 18 to acquire full civil capacity before reaching the age of majority. Governed by the Brazilian Civil Code, emancipation allows the minor to perform all acts of civil life independently, without needing representation or assistance from parents or guardians.
