A recall is a public call issued by the supplier to repair or replace products that have already been sold and that pose a risk to health or safety. Especially common with vehicles and household appliances, a recall must be widely publicized and carried out at no cost to the consumer. Once a company identifies the danger, it has a duty to notify the authorities and its customers, and to pull or fix the defective product as soon as possible.
