This is the entry of a consumer‘s name in a delinquent-debtor registry, such as a credit protection agency, for a debt that does not exist, has already been paid, or does not belong to that person. The erroneous entry damages your credit and usually gives you the right to have the record removed and to receive compensation for pain and suffering (dano moral). Before making any entry, the company must notify the consumer in writing.
